পলাশ, Flame of the Forest.

Common name: Flame of the Forest.
                          Bastard teak, battle of Plassey tree,
  • Assamese: বিপৰ্ণক B​ipornok, কিংশুক ​K​ings​uk, পলাশ polas​
  • ​Bengali: পলাশ palash • Sanskrit: किंशुक kimshuk,
  • Botanical name: Butea monosperma 

Family: Fabaceae (Pea family)



I was found at my own country which is India. When I was at my Rock Climbing practice at the occasion of Holi at Purulia District (West Bengal), The Flame of the Forest Or Palash is a medium sized tree​s​ is growing from 20 to 4​0​ feet high from the 0 (Zero) Laval, and it's trunk is usually crooked and twisted with irregular branches and rough, & the leaves are pinnate, with an 8-16 cm petiole and three leaflets, each leaflet 10-20 cm long.
​Types of Palash : Red, Orange, White, & Yellow. (Which was I show) ​

Special Point : ​A postal stamp was issued by the ​"​Indian Postal Department​"​ to commemorate this flower.
