Bharal or Himalayan Blue Sheep.


Bharal or Himalayan Blue Sheep :

The Bharal or Himalayan Blue Sheep is found in the high of the Indian Himalayas, Except India it is found at the Nepal Himalaya, Bhutan Himalaya, Tibet & Pakistan Himalaya.



I was found it during my Vasuki Tal Trek, 2017 Jun.

Short Descriptions : 
This sheep is 3.7 ft to 5.4 ft long from the head to body, with a tail of 3.9 to 7.9 inch. When They stand 27 to 36 inch, high at the shoulder. Body weight range from 35 to 75 kg . Males are slightly larger than females. The short, dense coat is slate grey in color, sometimes with a blueish sheen. The underparts and backs of the legs are white, while the chest and fronts of the legs are black. Separating the grey back and white belly is a charcoal colored stripe. The ears are small, and the bridge of the nose is dark. The horns are found in both sexes, and are ridged on the upper surface. In males, they grow upwards, then turn sideways and curve backwards, looking somewhat like an upside-down mustache. They may grow to a length of 31 inch. In females, the horns are much shorter and straighter, growing up to 7.9 inch long.
